Charitable Work
Students at Coláiste Muire are encouraged to consider those who are less well off in society and to support and assist the less fortunate where possible. Each year, we run non-uniform days and bake sales to support charities in need at the time.
Irish Red Cross Ukraine appeal presentation
During the week of 7th March, the students and staff of Coláíste Muire Ballymote held a fundraiser in aid of the Irish Red Cross' Ukraine Appeal. Thank you to our 5th year students and Ms. Carty who organised a bake sale and a raffle which raised €2,445.
Thank you to all who donated prizes to our fundraiser, to all those who donated baked goods and to all those who purchased tickets and treats! Special thanks to our 5th year students who organised the draw, the bake sale and sold tickets, in particular to our raffle committee for organising the prizes and draw.
On Wednesday 16th March, Mr Bob Buckinham, Chairperson of the Ballaghderreen branch of the Irish Red Cross visited our school to accept the proceeds on behalf of the Irish Red Cross. Pictured with Bob are Ms. Carty along with a selection of the students involved in the organisation of this worthwhile event. Well done all!

Christmas Jumper Day
Coláiste Muire held our annual Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 17th December 2021. This was organised by the 5th year LCVP students. All money raised will be donated to the Sligo University Hospital Paediatric Unit. Focus Ireland Shine a Light
Well done to our student Malachi Drew who did a sleepout last Friday night in his garden and raised over €800 for Focus Ireland.
Funky Shoe Day
Students work their own shoes on Friday 16th October to raise funds for Stop Northwest. Over €400 was raised - well done to all! A sample of footwear below:
